For some people autumn corresponds to an end: the finish of summer season, of holidays, of warm and carefree days, of green and luxury landscapes, but also the end of the year, which from autumn on seems to come more rapidly. Even so, cinema lovers know well that autumn is the season when cinema is born: it is starting from September, indeed, that the most interesting films are released, and it is in autumn that you can be confident to uncover a new, good movie to watch.
This year, as well, in spite of the crisis of film business and the cuts to the showbiz and to culture in general determined by the Italian government, the arrival of autumn has brought some extremely exciting film releases, also as far as Italian movies is concerned. In the final handful of months some longed-for Italian films have come out, from "The Solitude of Prime Numbers" to "Benvenuti al Sud". The first film, which was presented during the Venice International Film Festival, an event that requires location at the end of summer season and that hosts several movies which are going to reach the film theatres, was very longed-for as it is taken from a single of the greatest-known and most appreciated movies of the last handful of years, the first function of young physicist Paolo Giordano that has extended topped the sales charts and managed to win the Strega Prize, a single of the most prestigious Italian literary awards. No wonder if the homonymous film directed by Saverio Costanzo was lengthy-awaited by each the critics and the millions of readers that have loved the book and familiarized with Alice and Mattia, the two major characters of the story that in the movie are interpreted by Alba Rohrwacher and Luca Marinelli.

Also the international film industry has proposed a lot of interesting movies in the last number of months: from "Inception" with Leonardo di Caprio to the sequel of "Wall Street" by Oliver Stone, 23 years following the initial film, Hollywood is showing the aces it has up its sleeve. And these are only the very first movies of the season: till Christmas, an additional fertile period as far as film releases is concerned, we will have the probability to see several fascinating movies.
